At InternationalStaff.net we are less focused on paper qualifications than on actual performance capabilities. We screen, recruit, and train accordingly. Retention of qualified staff is cheaper and better than the recruitment of replacements, particularly among managers. Outside the U.S., the biggest recruitment shortages are often seen among the ranks of lower and middle managers. We encourage and suggest retention mechanisms for critical personnel. We like to see career paths explained and made available to the newest hires. When new hires see opportunities for promotion with their existing employer, they are less likely to job hop to gain career advancement. For American clients, the ability to interact with client liaisons offshore who are women usually results in more favorable outcomes than if male managers offshore interact with clients on an intensive basis. For this and other reasons, InternationalStaff.net places a premium on training women managers at offshore facilities, even going so far as women-only management training courses.
